I have been living New York for three years. Within the three years, I have never seen any living livestock, such as chicken, geese, and rabbits. Today, I went to a little store which supplies living chicken, geese, rabbits, and so on. When I entered the store, the odor almost made me vomit. Let me evoke the period when I lived in my hometown. My grandmother raised a lot of chicken in the open air. I usually fed those chicken in the morning or in the afternoon. Looking at the chicken eating was very interesting. Nevertheless, I also felt uncomfortable as I smelt the odor. Especially, when my grandfather slaughtered the chicken, he didn’t wash his hands and touched my face. In this way, there is a big dread in my heart. I always vomited when I smell that odor.
A long time past, I think I beat the dread already. In fact, I just forget it. When I smell again, I don’t feel comfortable. However, that bad feeling is not that serious.
Honestly, I steamed the chicken after being at home. Living chicken was so different from those frozen chicken because living chicken is fresher than frozen chicken. I feasted a lot.
